1. What we collect
- Account information — your name and email, handled by our authentication provider when you sign up.
- Content you submit — the ideas, answers, and edits you give us to produce a draft.
- Usage data — page views and general interaction data, collected via Google Analytics.
2. How we use it
To run the Service: generating drafts from what you submit, sending you email updates about your content’s progress, and understanding how Yapship is used so we can improve it.
3. Third-party service providers
We share data with the providers that make the Service work:
- An authentication provider, to manage accounts and sign-in.
- An AI provider, to generate drafts from what you submit.
- A database provider, where your content and account data are stored.
- An email provider, to send you updates about your content.
- Google Analytics, for anonymized usage data.
4. Cookies
We use cookies for authentication and for Google Analytics. You can decline non-essential (analytics) cookies from the banner shown on your first visit — essential cookies needed to keep you signed in aren’t affected by that choice.
5. Data retention
We keep your content and account data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service.
6. Your choices
You can opt out of analytics cookies at any time (see §4), and you can contact us to request that your data be deleted.
7. Children’s privacy
Yapship isn’t intended for anyone under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy as the Service changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
